little napolean...

What our little boy looks like when he is tired....charlie has nicknamed him "napolean".

A little glimpse into Mac's world this week:
My mom, Mac and I were on our way to a clothing shop and on the way we passed a Sear's store. You are thinking "what is the big deal with Sears??" oh my friends-there are mowers outside at Sears. All it took was Mac to see them, us pass them in the car, and he went into complete meltdown mode. The whole time in the clothing store he was repeating "moyee, see moyee, mac see moyee" over and over again. I tried to explain that we would see them later, mom took him outside to try and appease him-nothing worked. After I couldn't take it anymore I loaded him in the car and drove him over to Sears. I got him out of the car and he sat on all 9 riding lawnmowers and touched all 8 push mowers. When I told him that we needed to go, he went and kissed all 17 mowers goodbye-no kidding-really kissed every single one. Seeing all the mowers put him in such a better mood-thank goodness!

pluto???

The other day Mac got a little surprise in the mail from Waco. I let him open his own piece of mail and he was SO excited to find a hooded dog bath towel with his name on the back. It is like his magic cape...he loves it! Little did Mary Mac know that whenever Mac gets out of his bath, he walks from the bathroom to his bedroom like Pluto...how perfect was a dog towel?!? Now, when he gets to his room he asks Charlie and I to bark....the things we do to make him laugh! Thanks for the surprise Mary Mac!!

lovey...

One of Mac's favorite books is Llama Llama Red Pajama and a little while ago he started pointing to the little toy animal that Baby Llama is always holding. I told him that it was Baby Llama's lovey-just like his doggy is his lovey. So now..when I open the book there is a picture of BL's lovey on a page by itself and Mac points to it and says "yuhbee". The other night after dinner I was cleaning up and Mac was sitting in his chair..he was talking to himself (as usual) and then I heard him start saying "yuhbee, yuhbee"-over and over with the sweetest, most endearing little voice. I look over and he is saying this while he is hugging his milk cup. For some reason that little moment totally melted my heart...he was so happy to have his milk cup and could have cared less about anything else that was going on. Someone asked me the other day if I was enjoying the age that Mac is at now, and I have to say that so far..hands down this is my favorite age.

One of his favorite things to do right now is run into the living room yelling "mal-mal yap". In adult words that translates to "Malley's lap". If Mal is laying on the floor he "climbs into her lap" and will just sit there and giggle. I grabbed a shot or two of him doing this the other day.

We are having a great time this summer..hanging out at the pool, playing outside, going on walks and to the park...I am so thankful that I am able to be at home with Mac to experience all the new and exciting things that bring him so much joy.

happy 30th birthday charlie.....

This past weekend we celebrated Charlie's 30th birthday. We were able to have a party at a local restaurant with lots of good food and friends and also spent some great time with Charlie's family. Mary Mac, Tim, Adam and Ryan were able to be here for Charlie's birthday-what a great present. We spent a lot of time at the pool, eating good food, catching up and playing.

It was a great weekend, and we are so thankful for Charlie...what a wonderful dad and husband.

Happy 30th Birthday Charlie.....Mac and I love you!

oh!! so yummy...

So tonight at dinner Charlie gave Mac half of a lemon to see what he would do...now Mac has tasted lemons before and like most other kids he makes horrible faces and then keeps going because everyone is laughing. Tonight was no exception...Charlie and I were basically crying because we were laughing so hard. Mac was loving the attention and kept this up for a good five minutes...until we had to stop because he literally started to take bites. Here is just a recap of how the lemon-tasting went:

just playing...

When we are inside playing, you can usually count on Mac to play with all of his cars, trucks and buses. This picture only represents some of the "vehicles" that he has...I love when I go to clean up and find a truck in a shoe or in my cabinet. He has found out where I have been hiding his tent and now he asks for it every morning...it was abnormally quiet in the living room earlier and I found him in the tent playing with his "kack-ker" (tractor). I opened the tent and he just started smiling and said "moyee now" -mommy down- and started patting the floor...how could I resist playing with him?!?!

He has become such a chatterbox and loves to make all kinds of silly faces -usually when he is in trouble.....
