flowers...

The past couple days have been really nice so we have spent every waking minute outside. On days that are yucky and rainy, Mac just stands at the door saying "ous" (outside) and "wings" (swing). We have some great neighbors that have little boys very close to Mac's age so we are lucky that he usually always has some good buddies to join him. On this particular day he was chasing after Malley in the backyard and he came to a complete stop when he saw the little flowers and dandelions in the yard. He bent right down, put his nose to the ground, acted like he was smelling the flowers and then stood up and looked at me and starting signing the word for flower. It was so cute...we have just started practicing that sign from flowers that he has seen in his books, so I was a little surprised when he used it in the correct context. I had to grab my camera and take a few pictures while he was still interested! His imagination, and vocabulary, have really started to take off. How fun it is to watch him learning and growing.
